Striped versions of the dress here were featured both in the Alaia exhibit at the Groninger Museum and accompanying book 'Alaia- Azzedine Alaia in the 21st Century

The cut of the top is simple and sleek

The ruffled edges are all lined in horsehair to give them volume and shape

The sleeves of the jacket are cut on a curve in the traditional couture manner  and I love the bright pink lining that gives a flash of unexpected colour when you wear it open
