Chatelaine - Florentine Baskets Similar to round lanterns butOur Chatelaines are cast here in our shop in lead free pewter, and are finished by hand. The chatelaine clips onto the waist of your petticoat or apron and has 5 chains 6" long with lanyard clips to keep things securely attached. Measures 3 1 2" wide and about 1 3 4" high. Chatelaines were worn to keep handy important items such as keys, watches, magnifying glasses and sewing supplies (scissors, beeswax, charms and thimbles). Townsend Made. Made in
